Darren and I have been working bout has hard as anyone trying to dial in our segment. Without giving away too much these photos are from our various trips up and down the logging road, glaciers, lakes, and creek beds during our hunt for terrain. If I can take anything away from this contest so far it has been the ability for me to open up my mind out there. A bit of a consciousness expansion, a bit Tim Leary, a bit architect, some math on various angles, degrees of trajectory and well here you have it… our segment, coming together like some freak show on snow… but like I’ve said before, you’ll have to wait. We are still working.
It had been two weeks of straight sunshine. The snow was wind packed and sun damaged. Looking at the snow you’d assume we were in the Nevada Desert. Looking around you’d assume your were in Alaska… British Columbia. The perfect mix of AK and the Lower 48 all in one. My kinda place.
The Grind, a noun, a term used to described the slow but steady break down of a material due to abrasive force. That doesn’t sound right? I’m not one for abrasiveness… we lubed it up a bit and enjoyed the ride.
